Eva Maria Okoth appointed Africa Regional Coordinator
We are pleased to officially announce the successful appointment of Eva Maria Okoth as the new Africa Regional Coordinator for the International Land Coalition (ILC). This follows a competitive recruitment process that attracted 388 applications, underscoring the strong commitment across the region to advancing people-centered land governance.
A dedicated recruitment panel comprising representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF), the Youth Initiative for Land in Africa (YILAA), the Mbororo Social and Cultural Development Association (MBOSCUDA), Synergie Nationale des Paysans et Riverains du Cameroun (SYNT), and the ILC Secretariat guided the rigorous selection process.
Eva, a familiar face within our network, brings a deep commitment to the region, valuable insight, and a strong record of leadership. Her appointment reflects the panel’s confidence in her ability to lead and advance our collective agenda.
