MBOSCUDA calls for protection, justice, and urgent action
The Mbororo Social and Cultural Development Association (MBOSCUDA) is a nationally recognized organization representing the rights and interests of the Mbororo pastoralist community in Cameroon, with special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
On 14 January 2026, members of the Mbororo community were killed in a violent attack in Wouro Gidado, Ntumbaw, in Cameroon’s North-West Region. In the statement below, MBOSCUDA documents the incident within the broader context of sustained violence, displacement, and livelihood losses affecting Mbororo communities since the onset of the security crisis. The statement calls for accountability, protection of civilians, and urgent government action.
