The first in a series of webinars will discuss “The Effect of COVID-19 on Small-Scale Farming, Tenure Security and Food Sustainability in Africa”
The webinar will explore how governments and land actors relate to food insecurity in the context of COVID-19, and offer recommendations.

In partnership with Oxfam Pan-Africa Program, and on behalf of WIDGRA project, ILC Africa launches its series of webinars. The first will take place on July 15, 2020 from 2:00pm - 4:30PM EAT.
This webinar will be open to stakeholders from the African governments, Civil Society Organizations, the private sector, academia, traditional opinion leaders, women small scale farmers, youths, the Regional Economic Communities (RECs), the International Financial Institutions (IFIs), multilateral institutions, etc. Some of the key speakers will be representatives from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Kilimanjaro Women Small Scale Farmers Initiative and Empowering Women in Agriculture (EWA).
A report will be presented and shared from a survey that was commissioned by Pan-Africa Civil Society Organization members on the impact of COVID-19 on women's land tenure and food security in Africa.

- Mrs. Khady Fall Tall – Mrs. Khady Fall Tall, President of AFAO/WAWA and Founder Member of Empowering Women in Agriculture (EWA).
- Julie Cisse- Women to Kilimanjaro Initiative representative
The session will be moderated by Faith Alubbe, Executive Director, Kenya Land Alliance (KLA)
