The South Sudan National Land Coalition (NLC), in partnership with the International Land Coalition (ILC) and allies, is proud to announce the launch of the #LandForSouthSudan campaign. This campaign is an urgent call for parliament to prioritize land rights, transparency, and inclusive governance as it resumes sessions on June 9, 2025.

This campaign underscores the crucial role of land rights in promoting peace, ensuring food security, and fostering sustainable development in South Sudan. It also amplifies voices from communities, civil society, and stakeholders demanding action and accountability from national leaders.

In the lead-up to the parliamentary session, we are releasing an open letter signed by key organizations and allies, calling on parliament to:

• Recognize and protect customary and community land rights.
• Strengthen legal frameworks for land governance.
• Ensure meaningful consultation with communities.
• Promote transparency and fairness in land-related decision-making.

The open letter and campaign materials will be widely shared through partners, media, and social media platforms, with the goal of raising public awareness and driving action.
