Mission
The organisation promotes and defends the rights of women. In particular, ACFAC's mission is to protect indigenous women and their children at a local and national level in the Republic of Congo.
Objectives
ACFAC's main objectives are to fight against social inequalities and new forms of slavery, to facilitate the access to social basic infrastructures, such as health, education, and other basic needs, and to promote land rights for indigenous women. Furthermore, the organisation contributes to environmental protection and to the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of women.
Constituencies
Founded by members, Action Communautaire des Femmes Autochtones (in English, "Community Action of Indigenous Women") is a non-political, non-religious organisation that works directly with indigenous communities. The organisation empowers and protects women and their children by enabling them to become active and involved actors in the self-management of their households.
