Mission
KENAFF is the apex umbrella farmers’ organization in Kenya; with her core mandate embodied in the motto, The Farmers Voice/Sauti ya Mkulima: to represent, articulate, protect, and promote the interests of Kenyan farmers. Founded in 1946 in Nakuru as the Kenya National Farmers Union (KNFU), the federation’s Mission is to influence transformation and growth in the agriculture sector for enhanced food and nutrition security, improved incomes and better livelihoods for farmers;
Objectives
KENAFF’s objectives are to promote unity, co-operation and dialogue among its members , between its members and other actors in the agricultural sector, to ensure timely intervention in the resolution of issues affecting the agricultural sector, to ensure effective representation of the farming community and expression of its views to government and the public at large and to encourage effective networking and collaboration with national and international associations which share the Federation’s objectives and aspirations.
Constituencies
KENAFF is a member of the Agriculture Sector Network (ASNET), where it represents the interests of Kenyan farmers.
